Chugach Range, Valdez, in South Central Alaska
Getting here is easier and more affordable than you might think. Major airlines connect to Valdez daily. Try to arrive in Anchorage before 4 pm on a Saturday. This way you can catch the last commuter flight to Valdez on ERA Aviation (Alaska Airline affiliate, 800-866-8394). This 40-minute commuter flight is a great opportunity to view peaks as far as the eye can see. Be sure to get a window seat on the left side and have your camera ready. Upon your arrival, we will greet you at the Valdez airport, help you settle in to your accommodations located right on the Prince William Sound, prepare and make sure you have all your safety equipment for the next day's adventure.
